Alfred Farina, is the owner and operator of Body Natural Fitness – Barrington, RI. He specializes in training competitive athletes to prepare for various athletic events including Iron Man, Triathlons, Mountain Climbing, Marathons, Basketball, Football and Natural Bodybuilding Competitions. He has designed and teaches a personal training course that is nationally accredited and recognized throughout the United States and Canada. From early 90's to late 2000 he has been head coach for various High School Football teams in Bristol and Newport County.
10.00 – 11:45am: Identifying Periodontal Disease and Pathology Radiographically
Dr. Lynne Almerico Byers M.Ed., D.M.D, is president of the Center for Dental Educators. She was a Professor in Dental Hygiene at Bristol Community College where she was the Program Director and Radiography Coordinator. Dr. Byers graduated from St. Petersburg College with an AS in Dental Hygiene and continued her education at Empire State College obtaining a BS in Biology. She furthered her education by earning a doctorate’s degree in Dentistry at the University of Florida and a master’s degree in Education at Eastern Nazarene College. Dr. Byers has practiced as a dental hygienist and general dentist, is a published author and speaker and has received many accolades for excellence in teaching.

1:00 – 1:45pm: Ultradent Dental Hygiene Product Review
Trisha Cloutier, CDA, RDH, MA, is the Providence, RI Territory Account Manager for Ultradent Products. She was the Dental Hygiene Department Chair/Program Director and an Associate Professor in Dental Hygiene at Bristol Community College. She was also the Continuing Education Chair for the Rhode Island Dental Hygienists’ Association and a Commission Evaluator with the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation. She has enjoyed her career as a clinician, educator, speaker and advocate for the profession of Dental Hygiene.
2:00 – 5:00pm: OSHA Review - Are you in compliance?
Cynthia Johnson CDA, RDH, BS, MA, is an Assistant Professor in Dental Hygiene at CCRI. She graduated from CCRI with an AS in Dental Hygiene. She also received a BS and master’s degree in Adult Education from URI. She began her career as a dental assistant and has practiced hygiene with pediatric and special needs individuals for 22 years. She has been active in several oral health initiatives, Teeth first, Rhode Island Special Olympics, Give Kids a Smile, Mission of Mercy and the Alzheimer’s Association.
